Country Legend Reuinted With Lost Guitar
Fifty years ago, 'Whisperin Bill' Anderson loaned his prized Billy Grammar guitar to a museum that was eventually closed. Anderson said he never really thought about the guitar again citing 'out of sight, out of mind.'
That is until he received a phone call from Phoenix pawn shop owner Mike Grauer who'd purchased the vintage guitar from a customer on a hunch that it could belong to the country music legend.
"My dream was to be a country music historian when I was younger," Grauer told KPHO in an interview. "I know a lot about the history of country music."
The pawn shop owner reached out to the Nashville icon and was able to confirm the instruments ownership.
Anderson flew Grauer and his wife to Nashville to appear on stage at the Opry where Whisperin' Bill was reunited with his long lost guitar.
