Chris Stapleton Wins Best Country Solo Performance at the 2016 Grammys
Chris Stapleton won the Grammy for Best Country Solo Performance on Monday night (February 15).
Chris beat Cam's "Burning House," Carrie Underwood's “Little Toy Guns,” Keith Urban's “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16” and Lee Ann Womack's “Chances Are."
“I’ve never had one of these, and that’s amazing,” the country singer said during the show's pre-telecast. “I’ve been sitting out in this audience a couple different times. Third time’s the charm.”
He also added: “I don’t know what to say. Thank you very much. I appreciate it.”
Stapleton is nominated for four awards tonight. He lost the Best Country Song to Little Big Town for "Girl Crush," but could still win Best Country Album and Album of the Year.
