Though a message of support, many were put off by his hashtag: #Bombzquad.

Those who have been long supporters of Wilder's career are familiar with his catchphrase, derived from his nickname as "The Bronze Bomber," following his 2008 bronze Olympic medal.

Whether an intentional play on words or not, his followers took notice.
