Alabama Town Named Among HGTV’s “Best U.S. Mid-Size Cities”
Cities boasting populations between 100,000 and 500,000 are witnessing a steady influx of newcomers, according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau and analysis by the nonpartisan Milken Institute.
HGTV said that folks “visit for the outdoor pursuits, sporting events, and public artworks, but be warned: you may be inspired to stay awhile when you check out these places where the living is easy and the fun is almost guaranteed.”
On the coveted top 20 list, HGTV named a town in Alabama that ranks among the best U.S. mid-size cities.
Huntsville, Alabama
“Huntsville has long been a hub for the aerospace industry. It’s home to NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, the US Space & Rocket Center, and, of course, Space Camp, said HGTV.
However, it is no secret that Huntsville has had a growth spurt.
According to HGTV, the city is a “mover and a shaker thanks to a highly educated workforce and relatively affordable housing. There’s high-tech and aerospace, but there are also green spaces, like the Huntsville Botanical Garden and Monte Sano State Park, which has hiking trails, rustic cottages, and scenic overlooks.”
