Alabama RB Kenyan Drake Says He’s 100% for Cotton Bowl [VIDEO]

Alabama senior Kenyan Drake has seen his share of ups and downs during his career in Tuscaloosa, but the running back appears to be in position for a strong finish.

When he suffered an arm injury against LSU in November, it looked like he was in danger of ending another season on the sideline. But Drake worked his way back in a month and returned to action in the SEC Championship Game against Florida.

With three additional weeks to rest and rehab, the running back said he's completely ready for Thursday's Cotton Bowl against Michigan State.

"I am 100 percent," Drake said.

Now he and his fellow seniors have the chance to bring home Alabama's 16th national championship, which is exactly why they chose to play college football in Tuscaloosa.

"That's why all of us came to this university because we understood that year in and year out we'll be playing for the national championship," Drake said. "There are a lot of great teams around the country so if we come up short, of course we are going to be disappointed."

Regardless of how this season finishes, Drake will leave Alabama having benefitted from Nick Saban's 'process.'

"It's just understanding that if you get knocked down, you should just get back up and continue to work harder than ever," Drake said. "Because at the end of the day, you came here for a reason and that's to first off get your degree and become a better man at the end of the day."
