Alabama parents are outraged after a video surfaced yesterday of a fight in the bathroom at St. Clair County High School.

Officials said eight students trapped another boy in the bathroom before one of them began beating him and slamming him onto the tile. The student was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.

Officials with the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office said six of the students involved in the fight were taken to a juvenile facility before being released to their parents. Two remain in custody and in a statement obtained by WIAT, the Superintendent said 'serious consequences' for the students involved was 'anticipated'.

Local parents are upset and fearful for the safety of their own children. One mother opted not to send her daughter to school yesterday and some residents said the video backs up previous claims of bullying at the school.
