Alabama Offers the Cheapest Price for This Popular Drink
As the weather turns colder, seasonal drinks are coming back into fashion.
Just the online searches for "pumpkin spice latte" alone have increased OVER 1,000 percent in the last two months, as reported by Google Searches. That's a lot of people thirsty for pumpkins.
And as these thirsty folks are buying their lattes, some may be shocked by the price. The price of a pumpkin spice latte has increased dramatically over the years.
Bet Arizona noted the following sad trend in the cost of a venti pumpkin-spice latte:
- 2005: $3.35
- 2020: $5.25
- 2023: $6.45
That puts a 2023 coffee at nearly 93 PERCENT more expensive than a 2005 coffee!! And you can be sure that this trend applies to other coffee prices as well. Inflation is killer, man.
Thankfully, the average cost of a cup of coffee differs from state-to-state, with some prices being much more reasonable. And guess who tops the list as the Least Expensive Coffee in the country? Alabama!!
If you're traveling, though, and want to avoid states with expensive coffee, stay away from these:
HIGHEST AVERAGE COFFEE PRICES
- Hawaii: $3.76
- California: $3.35
- Washington: $3.09
- Alaska: $2.91
- Arizona: $2.88
Mississippi, Arkansas, Iowa, and West Virginia are all cheap good, though!
But as for Alabama, you can get a cup of coffee, on average, for a mere $1.88. Now that's a deal.
