In the first quarter, Patriots wide-receiver Eric Hines suffered a leg injury and had to be carted off the field. Hines was transported to a local hospital to be evaluated.

The Patriot's defense recovered three fumbles and sacked Jaguars quarterback JaMichael Ratliff in the second half. ACA added 10 more points to seal the victory, 42-0. ACA interim head coach Cody Martin said he was proud of his team's performance and explained how he uses practice to keep the team's momentum going.

"I was real proud of our guys. We had a really good week of practice and they came out and executed and did everything we ask them to do," Martin said. "The energy starts at practice every week. We stress to the guys to practice like champions every day and will continue to do that."

The Jaguars faced a tough test after a rough start to the season. The Sumter Central Jaguars had to forfeit the first two games due to COVID-19 issues and a shortage of players. Despite the blowout, Jaguars head coach Scotty Jones said he was so happy his players got to see the field.

"We had a lot of young guys playing tonight, but we are just grateful to come out tonight and compete. We just wanted to play," Jones said. "We did not play at all last year so, we are just blessed to be able to participate in football and look forward to building our program up...".

ACA will welcome the Bibb County Choctaws next Friday night and try and keep the momentum going. Sumter Central will play its first home game next week and look for the team's first win of the season against Holt.
