I bought this little Homelite Weed Trimmer on sale for $69.00 a couple weeks ago. I bought a roll of 0.80 (2.0 mm) string for it too. It came loaded with string and lasted about 2 and a half yard cuttings. I ran in to a problem after that.

I figured it would be just like any other weed trimmer that I have re strung 1000 times before. Man was I wrong. I fiddled with it for about 30 min as my wife yells from the deck " Surely it came with instructions!".

It did but I threw them in the trash along with the box in come in. (The trimmer is one of those put it together at home deals). My son watched as I tried and failed multiple times. After the first re-string, I started the trimmer and about 6 feet of string shot out and tangled around the shaft in a monkey knot. Same thing happened on the second and third attempt. I almost threw it down and stomped on it.

I gave up and went in to the computer and looked up "How to restring your Homelite weed Trimmer"  I found the video below. (aptly named of course). Apparently I'm not the only idiot in the world. The video has been viewed over 70,000 times. Maybe Homelite should make this process a bit less complicated? Geez. I'll try again tomorrow.
