Homemade Halloween Candy Dads Can Make

OK Dads, If you want to look like a rock star to your kids, take over the kitchen for about 10 min and make these chocolate candies. 

This may be the simplest candy recipe known to man. My mother made these for me from time to time when I was a kid. She kindly made a copy of the recipe several years ago and gave it to me. It's time to share.

With a few simple ingredients and about 10 min you will be the best candy maker EVER.

Let your kid sit on the counter for added effect.

You can double or triple this to make as much as you want

Chocolate Oatmeal Candy.

1. 1/4 cup Hershey's Cocoa Powder
2. 1 cup sugar
3. 1/4 cup of milk
4. 1/2 stick of butter
5. 1 1/2 cup quick oatmeal
6. 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Flavoring

Step 1:

Melt butter in saucepan. Add Sugar, Cocoa and milk

Step 2:

Bring to boil and stir consistently for 2 minutes

Step 3

Remove from heat and add oatmeal and stir for at least 2 minutes or until the mixture starts to harden and spoon onto foil and let stand until you can pick them up.

Step 4

Look like a rock star to your kid
