Brad Paisley plays an average Joe down on his luck in his new song ‘Crushin’ It.’ The track from his most recent album recalls his most playful hits. Think ‘Alcohol’ or ‘Camouflage,’ but not quite that serious.

While it's somewhat difficult to imagine this country superstar and guitar master being the one in need of an “Atta boy,” his fans will identify with his message in the first verse: “It’s been a long time / Since I hit one out of the park or nailed it as they say / I guess I’ve been in a dry spell but that’s about to change ‘cause …"

Frequent Paisley collaborator Kelley Lovelace cowrote ‘Crushin’ It’ with Paisley and Lee Thomas Miller. The trio stays true to the brand the singer established over a decade ago. One can almost see his wry smile growing as he shouts out the chorus:

“Every week has a weekend / By this time Friday night / I’ll be done with my third can of cold Bud Light / And I’ll be crushin’ it / Yeah, I’ll be crushin’ it.”

‘Crushin’ It’ comes complete with a nagging wife and sound effects to punctuate his point. There’s no chance of his message zipping over the heads of country fans in the way recent ballads like ‘The Mona Lisa’ and ‘I Can’t Change the World’ may have. The latest track from ‘Moonshine in the Trunk’ steers straight.

Why Fans Will Love It: The playful 'Crushin' It' is made for the singer's live show. It will fit in well amongst songs like 'Ticks' and 'Alcohol.'

Key Lyrics: "Every week has a weekend / By this time Friday night / I’ll be done with my third can of cold Bud Light / And I’ll be crushin’ it"

Did You Know?: Brad Paisley actually prefers a good cigar to a can of cold Bud Light.
