World Photography Awards Recognise Mobile Photos

More than 10,000 people submitted photographs taken with with their mobile phones to the Sony World Photography Awards after the category was introduced for the first time.

Italian Turi Calafato took home first place for his 'Untitled' shot of two people snoozing on a beach and second place went to Janos Schmidt's for a breathtaking photograph of sunset at a train station in Budapest.

I'm a HUGE fan of pictures taken with my phone but I'm not sure I've taken any that could compete with some of the amazing shots submitted. However, I'm happy to share a few of my favorites.
