Why Are Baptists In Mourning?

As a proud Baptist I can tell you I am sad tonight. We have put the beloved GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE on the map. Nobody makes a better green bean casserole than a baptist. If you ever attended a 'bring a cover dish' you know what I mean.

With that stated, I now bring you some very sad news. The inventor of the green bean casserole has died at 92.

Dorcas Reilly is credited with creating God's gift to the casserole. Reilly was a culinary trailblazer. She worked for Campbell's Soup Company. In fact her recipe was on the side of many soup cans.

I will toast Dorcas Reilly's honor at Thanksgiving if not sooner.
