This weekend in Tuscaloosa is shaping up to be one of the busiest so far this year with a couple of runs, a boat race, and a local farmer's market!

Tuscaloosa Farmers' Market
Saturday, 7 am-12 pm

Local farmers, artisans and crafters come together each Saturday to sell their goods at the Tuscaloosa River Market. (MAP) It's a great opportunity to support the local economy by purchasing fresh, locally grown produce, handmade items and more.


Tuscaloosa Mayor's Cup 5K
Saturday, 8 am

The 9th annual Mayor's Cup 5K, benefiting the Tuscaloosa Pre-K Initiative, will start and end in Government Plaza. Registration starts at 7 am and the race begins at 8 am. Race day registration fee is $25. This is always a family friendly event and features a kid's zone with games and music. Learn more by clicking here.


Insane Inflatable 5K
Saturday, 8:45 am

In it's first year in Tuscaloosa, the Insane Inflatable 5K has already exceeded expectations with the amount of runners registered but spots are still available if you've haven't signed up yet! This race is described as, "the most fun, wild and insane obstacle run in the world. Get “pumped up” for a course filled with the world’s largest and most extreme inflatable obstacles ever produced."


Tuscaloosa Dragon Boat Races
Saturday, 10:30 am

The Junior League of Tuscaloosa is hosting the annual Dragon Boat Races with a projected race start time of 10:30 am. The festivities are held on the banks of the Black Warrior River at the Cypress Inn and run through the afternoon. Teams of 20 paddlers, a drummer and person steering race in authentic Hong Kong-style, 46-foot-long dragon boats.
