Beginning Wednesday, June 3, 2015, the Northport Police Department is teaming up with local volunteers to make a difference in the lives of our veterans and older community members.

#WeStandTogether is an amazing community-based event for citizens and police officers to work together by providing lawn care for individuals, nominated by you, who could use a little help.

Officer Carrie Baker is accepting donations for lawn mowers, gas, gas cans, oil, weed eaters, trimmers, edging equipment, rakes, shovels, plants, shrubs, flowers, gloves, water hoses, extension cords, ant killer, wasp/bee spray, mailbox paint (white and Black), sandpaper.

A complete list of needed items can be obtained from Officer Baker.

Monetary donations cannot be accepted at this time and donated items must be in good-working condition.

If you would like to nominate a Northport community member, volunteer to help or donate goods, please contact Officer Carrie Baker at 205-469-1385 or email her at csummers@cityofnorthport.org or you can email me for more information.
