The West Alabama Narcotics Task Force will participate in the DEA's National Take-Back Initiative by hosting a "Take-Back Day" Saturday, April 27, 2013. Get details and drop off locations after the jump.

The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposal of unused or expired medication. The West Alabama Narcotics Task Force also hopes to educate the general public about the potential for abuse of these medications. The last national event held in September 2012 collected 488,395 pounds of prescription medication at more than 5,263 locations across the United States.
