Virtual Reality – My Son’s Coolest Christmas Gift

Remember the View Master from days gone by? It changed the way we looked a pictures, right? Santa dropped off a souped up version at my house Christmas morning that will change things once again. I played with it more than my son, I think. It was my introduction to Virtual Reality.

It's pretty amazing. It runs off your smart phone and an app. View Master sells "Experiences" packs for their VR set. Santa brought three of them to our house. Space, Nat Geo's Wildlife and Destinations. These apps are very educational. Just download the app for your 'experience' and prepare to be blown away. One could spend a LOT of time on either of them.

There are several other VR headsets out there. Google is in the game with Cardboard. A lot of these apps will work with View Master. There's the Oculus headset too, a more adult version if you will.
