Sara Morrison owner of Tuscaloosa Flower Shoppe and Captain Jason Norris with Northport Fire Rescue stopped in the 95.3 The Bear studio to tell us about this unique opportunity to send flowers to your mom for Mother's Day and have them delivered by a sharp dressed Fireman while benefiting the The Finn & Quinley Infant and Children's Fund.

It's pretty simple. Order flowers for your mom from Tuscaloosa Flower Shoppe to be delivered on May 9th and the fees and tips will be donated to The Finn and Quinley Infant and Children's Fund! Plus, mom gets her flowers delivered by one Northport Fire Rescue's finest.

From The DCH Foundation's website:

Finn and Quinley McInerney were born at Northport Medical Center in 2004. Their lives were short, but they live on in our hearts. This fund, created by their parents in their memory, allows them a legacy and has provided many improvements for infants and children at both DCH Regional and Northport Medical Centers. We hope to continue these efforts in 2014.

Here are just a few improvements as a result of this fund:

  • Mother & Child Feeding Rooms in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units
  • Infant Positioners
  • Pacifier Activated Lullaby System
  • Updated Computers and Amenities in Northport Medical Center’s Birthing Suites
  • Specialized Continuing Education for Nurses
  • Emergency Assistance for Parents in Need of Lodging and Support
