Trace Adkins Surprises Fans With Opry Appearance

Adkins joined the country group Exile for their hit ‘Kiss You All Over,’ which he turned into a duet on his album ‘Love Will…’ Not only was it the country crooner’s first performance since his father’s passing, it was also his first time performing the duet with Exile, making it an extra special night.
It’s been a rough road for Adkins over the past two months. In January he took his first drink in over a decade, landing him back into rehab to treat his alcoholism.
Then, his father became seriously ill, causing the 52-year-old to leave the treatment facility to be by his dad’s side as he passed.
A stint on the Opry stage sounds like the perfect medicine for any country star, especially one like Adkins, who has been through so much. His father was especially proud when the singer was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2003. Surely this made Adkins’ performance extra sweet.
