News hit the web Sunday of the untimely death of country music veteran Kevin Sharp, best known for his number one hit ‘Nobody Knows,' at the age of 43.

According to Sharp's website, the singer's death was,

Due to ongoing complications from previous stomach surgeries, as well as digestive issues.

His debut album, Measure of a Man, was released in November 1996. The album's first single 'Nobody Knows,' spent four weeks at Number One on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. He also released a book in 2004 called 'Tragedy's Gift.'

Sharp's country music peers took to Twitter over the weekend to express their grief and send prayers to friends and family members.
