Weather Advisories

Tomorrow will be a much different day than today, as it will be sharply colder. Rain is pushing through the area and the temps will be falling down to freezing, setting up the threat for icy travels on Thursday.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for much of our listening area from 2 p.m. today until 9 a.m. Tuesday, February 24.

Tomorrow morning's forecast calls for freezing rain and sleet, which could make for a messy commute Monday.

Tuscaloosa and West Alabama has been issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Friday (February 20). Due to this weather threat we are receiving notice of schools who have decided to dismiss early today.

The Tuscaloosa City and County School Systems have announced they will implement a two-hour daily for Thursday, Jan. 8, because of the prediction of frigid temperatures.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Hard Freeze Warning in advance of an approaching cold front expected to bring wind chills in the single digits to Tuscaloosa.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Tornado Watch in effect until 8 p.m. this evening ahead of a line of severe storms that may bring heavy rain, damaging winds, and tornadoes to our area.

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Flash Flood Watch for most of Alabama until Monday morning.

A line of storms is in the forecast for today, and with those storms comes the possibility of  heavy rainfall.

Cold weather is here, and the National Weather Service wants you to be prepared for the chilly temperatures. A Freeze Warning is in effect from 9 p.m. Thursday, November 13, 2014 to 9 a.m. Friday, November 14, 2014.
