On Thursday, Darius Rucker's song "Possibilities" touched hearts. Now, a singer from southwest Arkansas is doing the same with a song inspired by his experiences at the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

This year the Country Cares arm of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's fundraising celebrates its 26th year. Randy Owen has been the face of a platform that has included hundreds of country radio stations and raised over $600 million dollars. He says he has a successor in mind, and a goal to hit before he steps away.
Every year, Monk, Tracy Lynn, Scott Shepherd and myself look forward to the Country Cares St. Jude Radiothon because we know every dollar raised is making a difference the fight against childhood cancer.
The first tears fell shortly after 6AM this morning, with the first smile and sounds of laughter coming soon after. The annual Townsquare Media St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Radiothon raised over $270K on Thursday. Highlights included stories about patients like Markell and Susannah, Darius Rucker's song "Possibilities" and a song in memory of a sweet little boy named Chance.
