Strange Alabama- The Huntingdon College Ghosts

When one thinks of the campus of Huntingdon College, it is unlikely that ghouls or ghosts come to mind but for students and faculty this is not the case.

There's not one ghost lurking in the halls of Huntingdon College, but two well-known spirits that creep about. According to local legend, the Red Lady and Ghost on the Green has it that both of the ghosts were once students who committed suicide while enrolled.

The Red Lady is supposedly the spirit of a student who was very unpopular and suffered from bullying because shyness her obsession with the color red. One night, her depression took her life when she hung herself in her dorm room. Today, students claim to encounter a lady dressed in red late at night who can vanish through walls and doors.

The Ghost on the Green also had trouble with depression after being rejected by his girlfriend for being "clingy." Story has it, this young man ventured out into campus green late one night and shot himself. Although no one has actually seen The Ghost on the Green, every once in a while students report that they feel someone tugging at their clothes or blowing in their ears when walking across campus.
