In light of Uber returning to Tuscaloosa, the morning crew shared their horrifying cab stories; one happening right here in T-Town. Back when Steve started his radio career in Tuscaloosa with DC, the pair were "kidnapped" by a cab driver after getting picked up from campus in the early morning hours. The female cab driver started driving in the wrong direction at a high rate of speed and mumbling about her divorce. Terrified, Steve and DC called into the radio station to explain what was going on and why they would be late. The station decided to put them LIVE on the air to talk about the "kidnapping" experience as it was happening! Eventually the police pulled the cab over and safely rescued Steve and DC from the vehicle. Needless to say, Steve hasn't been in a cab since.

Simone's cab story comes from her time in Houston, Texas. While driving down a busy interstate, Simone's cabbie pulled out a hammer from below his seat and began waving it in the air! (see picture she captured below) The cabbie yelled, "This, little lady, is what I use for people who don't pay their fair!" Simone, scared to death, replied, "Don't worry, sir. I'm going to pay AND leave a tip." We are happy to report Simone was safely dropped off at her destination.
