Sassafras Food Memories Festival This Weekend

If you love listening to great stories, delicious food and community then make plans to attend the Sassafras Center for Arts and Environment on Sunday, April 17 at 5:00 pm.

Sassafras Center for Arts and Environment, in partnership with Dr. Lauren Cardon's Advanced Studies in Writing students invite you to bring your delicious food and the stories that inspired your dish.

If you're just interested in hearing local stories, the organizers invite you to come make yourself at home. Talented local musicians will play tunes between 5:00 and 8:00 pm with story reading beginning at 6:00. Event organizers also plan to reveal future plans for the Sassafras property.

The organizations mission is to enrich the quality of life in Tuscaloosa through support of the arts, environment, and community.
