Number One Country Song 20 Years Ago This Week – Whisper My Name

It's hard to believe that 1994 was 20 years ago. I was just one year out of high school!  This morning, I stumbled on Billboards Hot Country Songs Chart. I was curious what country song was number one when I graduated. It was John Micheal Montgomery's "I Can Love You Like That". It was number one for 3 weeks in May of 1993.  I clicked through to September 1994 on the Billboard Charts and the number one song was from Randy Travis. "Whisper My Name" From his This is Me album.

Twenty years later, this week, Jason Aldean's 'Burnin It Down' holds the number one spot. Jason Aldean was 17 years old in 1994. Cool huh?
