There are lots of more ladylike terms I could use to refer to the new Keurig 2.0 coffee maker but 'sucks' aptly describes the new DRM technology that restricts users from brewing their favorite non-Keurig cups.

According to USAToday, although the restriction is legal, 14 lawsuits have already been filed against the company. The founder of one California-based company who make their own K-cups called Keurig's decision 'not consumer friendly'. TreeHouse Farms CEO Sam Reed said it promotes 'anti-competitive behavior'.

But consumers are a wily, rebellious bunch and figured out that with a pair of scissors and a little tape, you can get back to caffeinated business as usual.
