Marty Lyons Keeps His Promise To Coach Bryant

Marty Lyons was a great defensive tackle. From Bama under Bear Bryant to the NFL. Marty is 59 years old now. He never forgot a promise he made years ago to Coach Bear Bryant. A promise he could easily have forgotten.

Lyons promised his coach that he would graduate with a degree from the University Of Alabama. It was important to Coach Bryant. And Marty always knew it.

This past Saturday Marty Lyons name was called to receive his diploma. Marty kept his promise to his coach earning a degree in Business Management from the University of Alabama.

I'm sure Coach Bryant was watching. Good job Marty Lyons. You are an inspiration to all of us.
