Pretty dead gum lazy according to an article published by the Washington Post.

Ryan Nickum originally tried to ascertain the most and least active citizens across the nation by 'ranking all 50 states on a number of different indicators, including TV-watching time, prevalence of fast food restaurants, affinity for daytime soap operas (as measured by Facebook interest),' wrote Robert Fredman. 'exercise frequency, interest in frozen pizza (as measured by Google searches), prevalence of Lay-z-Boy dealers, and interest in video game watching and renting (Google, again).'

The results of the study revealed the following about Alabama:

-Alabamians watch an average of 202 minutes of television each day.

-Only 46.7% of Alabamians exercise frequently making our state the second least active in the nation.

-Only 5% of Alabamians who use Facebook follow daytime soap operas as opposed to the state with the most fans, West Virginia.

-Alabama ranks 5th on the list of Laz-E-Boy retailers per person.

-Based on Google searches for frozen pizza, Alabamians aren't very interested. Our state ranks 34 out of 50 but when it comes to fast food, the number of fast food restaurants per 1, 474 persons.

And finally, Alabama ranks 7th as the most video game loving state.
