With the arrival of July, we welcome back the scorching heat and suffocating humidity back to West Alabama. Good luck leaving your house over the next couple of months without getting punched square in the face with the hot weather.

We've become accustomed to living in a place that averages highs in the 90s during July and August. After a couple of summers, you learn to utilize air conditioning, sweet tea, and swimming pools to withstand the summer months.

Could you ever imagine a day where you long for the 'good ole days of low 90s temperatures'? Well, that might only be 86 years away.

According to the interactive map below, the year 2100 brings southern Texas heat to Alabama. It's miserable just thinking about it, but I guess it could always be worse (see Phoenix, Arizona).
