Garth Brooks' comeback album has debuted at the top of the country album charts. 'Man Against Machine' bowed at the top of Billboard's Top Country Albums in its opening week, selling 130,000 units.

That's enough to place Brooks' first full-length album of new material in 13 years at No. 4 in the mainstream Billboard 200 charts as well, behind only Taylor Swift, Foo Fighters and Pink Floyd.

The title of the album is meant to imply Brooks' own personal struggle against "the machine" that is the modern-day music business. The superstar has long been at odds with the digital revolution, and in fact only joined social media last week. He has steadfastly refused to make his music available via YouTube -- which he recently called "the Devil" -- or iTunes, and instead launched his own digital service, GhostTunes, to offer his new album exclusively.

The 130,000 units reflects only the physical retail sales of 'Man Against Machine.' According to Billboard, GhostTunes did not report its sales numbers to Soundscan.

Brooks' new single, 'Mom,' will be released to country radio on Nov. 24. He is currently on an enormous world tour that has been selling out multiple dates and setting new records in every market it plays.
