This is an easy pan seared steak recipe. I don't remember having one any better in any restaurant anywhere. With 7 ingredients, you can be done in less than 15 minutes.Depending on how you like your steak. I roll medium. I cooked this last night and felt the need to share.

You will more then likely have the spices in your pantry.

Steak of choice - I chose a Porterhouse. You can go with a boneless or bone in Ribeye, T-Bone or NY Strip.

You'll need Kosher Salt, Crushed Black Pepper, Olive Oil and Dry Rosemary. Then Butter and Garlic Powder ( you can use fresh Garlic)

Let your steak sit out til it's room temp - Pre-heat your oven to 400°. Heat a cast iron skillet til it's almost smoking hot.

First, brush your steak with Olive Oil then be generous with kosher salt and Pepper on both sides. Add a little garlic powder.

Add the Steak to the hot pan and let it sear for 3 min - 5 to 6 min if you like it cooked well done. (You may smoke up your kitchen a bit).

Flip and sear an additional 3 min. Sprinkle a little dry rosemary on the steak then add the half stick of butter cut up in pats.( if you are using fresh garlic add it now) I added a half of a Vidalia Onion when I added the steak to the hot pan. The Onion will caramelize a little and makes a great steak topping.

Place the pan in the oven for 5 min - maybe 6 or 7 min for well done.

Remove the steak to a plate and let it sit for a couple min before cutting. Pour the pan juice over the steak.

I nuked some frozen broccoli and poured a little of the pan juice over it for a side.

Quick and easy.
