A new study found that couples who have date night once a month are 14% less likely to break up. "Date night" involves leaving the children with the sitter, logging off social media, putting down your email and just SPENDING TIME WITH YOUR HONEY. Taking a trip to the movies, a long walk together with a picnic, or just a simple dinner will help keep the spark alive in your relationship/marriage.

As a newly engaged woman, I really prioritize quality time spent with my fiancé. Right now everything is exciting and new as we build for a long, lasting and healthy marriage. As time goes on, however, many couples get overly comfortable and caught up with their daily routines, and eventually fail to "earn each other" everyday. My fiancé and I already have developed a 'plan' to always keep our love alive and healthy. A big part of this plan is date night and quality time together.

Date night doesn't have to be anything expensive or extravagant. Dinner for two can cost as low $30-40 ... but it doesn't even have to be that! Head over to the local grocery, spend $10 on homemade sandwich items and have a picnic with your honey. The one-on-one time preparing the meal, walking to the picnic area, and having a meal outside is the perfect evening spent together. Remember, the money spent doesn't matter - whether it's a $100 or $10 date night - it's the time together that's most important. Enjoy it!
