WBC Heavyweight Champion of the World and Tuscaloosa-native, Deontay Wilder, spent time on The Steve Shannon Show with Simone Eli. Wilder rolled up to 95.3 The Bear in his smokin' hot, gator skin wrapped Lamborghini and gave Simone a ride down Skyland Blvd live on the radio! Wilder showed off his speed, going 125 mph down Skyland Blvd in less than four seconds. Check out the pics! Simone was sweating profusely during the ride and said people were immediately recognizing Deontay during the drive! (It's not everyday you see a Lambo in Tuscaloosa!)

This morning "The Bronze Bomber" spoke about everything from his future in boxing to his family life. Wilder said the most important part of his life are his children; and everything he does professionally is to build their 'kingdom' and make for a better future. Wilder has two daughters, Naieya and Ava, and two sons, Dereon and Deontay Jr. Wilder. He spoke about his time at Shelton State Community College and the struggle he faced when discovering his daughter would be born with spina bifida. Wilder credits his success to the challenges he dealt with during that time.

On the morning show, Wilder showed both sides of his personality: the kind hearted, emotional father and "the beast". Wilder refers to himself as "the beast" in the ring, but outside of fighting says that he cries during movies and gets mani/pedis to take care of his body!

Wilder says he plans on returning to the ring in January 2017 after his broken hand and torn bicep heal. The Central High School graduate says he hopes someday he'll be able to fight in his hometown of Tuscaloosa.
