Chicken Snake Mimics a Rattlesnake

I grabbed this video of a chicken snake over the weekend. It can't really hurt you, but it wants you to think it can.

This must be a defense mechanism. The snake has no rattlers so it used the dry leaves. Pretty darn cool.

After the video, I let this Chicken Snake slither back into the woods. I try not to harm snakes if I can help it. Snakes help control the rodent population.
