Candace Payne -- known to the internet at "Chewbacca Mom" -- earned worldwide attention in May, when a video she shared on Facebook of herself wearing a Chewbacca mask went viral. Now, the 30-something-year-old mother of two is leveraging her newfound fame into something more: the beginnings of a career in country music.

On Friday night (July 22), Payne spent some time at the Grand Ole Opry, hanging out backstage and onstage with rising country artist Dylan Scott -- and, yes, she wore the mask! She and Scott also revealed the news that they will be touring together soon.

On her Facebook page, Chewbacca Mom -- sans mask -- shared some behind-the-scenes video with her fans, near the end introducing viewers to Scott and spilling the beans about those impending tour dates that the two will be playing together. On Scott's Facebook page, the singer posted a video of himself sitting backstage at the Opry, playing guitar while wearing a Chewbacca mask, before Payne walks into the scene to scold Scott for stealing her stuff.

"She can't sing," Scott says, "she can sang!"

Readers can press play on the video above to watch the two banter back and forth and hear Chewbacca Mom sing -- and, yes, she really can sing -- and play guitar. Payne has a cover of Michael Jackson's "Heal the World" for sale on iTunes now.

Scott has a number of tour dates on his calendar, though it's not yet clear which shows Payne will be joining him for. The up-and-comer (and newlywed) will release his self-titled debut album on Aug. 12.
