This past Saturday, my family and I went to Gordo for Muleday-Chickenfest. It was great as usual. Kimberly Madison met us there as we were broadcasting live on 95.3 The Bear. Brody had a big time with homemade ice cream, snow cones and a hand held bubble blowing gun. He wore flip flops.
Around this time last year, my best friend Tammy and I were putting pumpkin seeds in the ground. The next ten days were anxious ones as we waited to see evidence that we'd planted them correctly since we'd decided we didn't know what we were doing
Yesterday Kimberly brought in some left over roast to the studio. She insisted it was THE best roast she had ever tasted. During a music sweep, we went down stairs to the break area and warmed up a plate in the microwave. Deliciousness ensued.
During one of my picking adventures, I came across some old mason jars of varying sizes and colors. They were coated in the thick film of dust that time leaves behind. I bought them, certain I would find some way to use them.
