UPDATED: Per Houston AD Tweet, UH Head Coaching Job Unfilled

Following a report from the USA Today, Alabama Offensive Coordinator Lane Kiffin is the next head coach at the University of Houston -- but Houston says not so fast. Houston's athletic director Hunter Yurachek tweeted a picture of the Vatican and 'black smoke' -- meaning NO NEW HEAD COACH at Houston just yet.

Kiffin's career record as a head coach is 35-21. He was fired from USC five games into the 2013 season, but landed at Alabama in 2014.
