If you're a country music fan who also appreciates other genres of music, actor Will Ferrell has a treat for you. The comedian has announced the charitable one-night event “Will Ferrell’s Best Night of Your Life,” which will take place Oct. 6 in Los Angeles—and include a musical supergroup composed of Brad Paisley along with a slew of rock 'n' roll notables.

Ferrell tapped Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith (who is jokingly known as his doppelganger, due to their similar looks) to assemble top-notch musical talent for the event, and Smith rose to the occasion. He put together Paisley with members of Pearl Jam, Guns N' Roses, Dave Matthews Band and Coldplay.

That sounds like some serious cross-genre power, and Ferrell himself agrees.

"I've had the opportunity to do a lot of amazing things in my life. For instance, there was that time I scaled Mount Everest with Barack Obama and members of the band Whitesnake," the actor joked in a statement. "I once rode motorcycles through Ecuador with Mick Jagger and former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. I haven't even mentioned the time I spent an entire weekend in an Irish pub drinking beers with Bill Gates and The Weeknd. So when I tell you that our big comedy and music extravaganza on October 6 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles is going to be the best night of your life, I'm speaking from experience."

The event is to benefit Cancer for College, which grants scholarships to cancer survivors across the country. In addition to the musical portion, it will feature appearances from Jerry Seinfeld, Samantha Bee, James Corden, Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O’Brien and others. For information on tickets, check here.
