Boating Fatality at Demopolis Lock and Dam Tuesday

Around 11:30 am today, authorities responded to a boating accident that occurred at the Demopolis Lock and Dam.

The Demopolis Police and Fire Departments along with Amstar ambulance, The Corp of Engineers, and the US Coast Guard  were among those arriving on scene this morning.

The accident involved a small boat with two occupants. While experiencing engine trouble, the boat was pulled over the dam and capsized, resulting in the death of one of the boaters.
