Alabama Reporter Gets a Shock of a Lifetime While on Scene

In the news business, there are always unexpected moments as Valerie Bell found out. Valerie was under the impression she was on the scene of a car driving into the water in Pell City.

Bell had no idea this was all a very prepared wedding proposal setup. As reported by Newsbreak, when Bell arrived on the scene, she talked to an officer and asked, “So do you mind if I take some notes?”

He replied “Uh, sure, yeah, but before you take some notes, I think you gon’ like to see one thing right behind you,” Bell turned around to see her boyfriend, Mr. Blake Bjornson on one knee.

Blake is a firefighter and asked his friends in the police department to help orchestrate the wedding proposal.  Bell happily accepted and posted the recording on her Twitter.
