I know what kind of poison this is called. I get it.

I understand that I am a diehard Crimson Tide fan and I acknowledge this up front.

However, I also host sports shows, love sports and try to be objective with plenty of perspective when reporting a story to you.

GEORGIA REIGNS SUPREME

The Georgia Bulldog football team deserve every ounce of respect, admiration, veneration and overall reverence they have received.

The ‘Dawgs are the undisputed kings of college football and have ruled for a while at this point.

Kirby is Kirby and a fantastic football coach. I will try and refrain from beating the drum of where he learned how to be great.

We all are fully aware of those facts by now.

Yet, from the start of this football season I saw some cracks in the mighty armor of Georgia.

It began with the September game against South Carolina, which they won, 24-14.

We can’t forget how they were being dominated in the first nearly three quarters of action that afternoon.

I understand that teams get better as the season progresses often times but the makeup of the team is important.
Alabama is the youngest team Coach Saban has ever had in his career with the Crimson Tide.

Georgia finally played like a champ late in the second half. I saw some weakness that wasn’t visible in the previous two seasons.

Before September was over the Bulldogs played in Auburn and barely hung on for a win.

YES, I KNOW, THE TIDE JUST DID THE SAME THING!

We can not minimize the MASSIVE rivalry difference between Georgia vs. Auburn and Alabama vs. Auburn.

Not even close. So, anything can happen in a deep, deep rivalry game. Georgia should have killed the Tigers in September.

More games during the season made Georgia look less “invincible” in my view.

Beating Missouri 30-21 in a game that could have gone either way.

The capper was the Georgia Tech game! Tech was 6-5 and lost to undefeated Georgia 31-23.

Remember September 2023 of the Alabama football season?

It was CRAZY!

Saban should retire. Saban is past his prime. Saban has dementia (Yes, one writer actually hinted at that after Texas).

BLAH, BLAH AND A LITTLE MORE BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!

It’s not possible to hit every single thing that has happened this year.

Yet, that Saturday in Florida with QB Jalen Milroe on the bench, the Tide’s season changed for good.

The team was blown away by the way Milroe took his “demotion” and the support he offered the other quarterbacks.

FIRST CLASS IN EVERY WAY.

You then could see signs against Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Texas A&M of how Jalen Milroe was growing in front of us all.

Then came 4th and 31.

FOURTH AND THIRTY ONE!

No problem. Bond was ready.

This will end up one of the greatest Tide seasons and one of the greatest coaching jobs in Nick Saban’s amazing career.

When the clock runs out on Saturday afternoon, I know the Alabama Crimson Tide will be 12-1 and positioned for a HUGE shot at the CFP.

This is gonna be fun!
