Monk stopped by Southern Ale House to try Bayou Teche Brewing's Boucanee & Passionne, two beers that will be featured at the 2015 Bacon & Brewfest!

Bayou Teche Brewing was founded on a simple dream, to craft beers that compliment the cuisine and lifestyle of Cajuns and Creoles. Originally operating out of a converted rail car, the brewers at this Arnaudville, Louisiana brewery have since moved into a larger location but still continue to brew the same innovative ales, crafted true to the brewers’ original intent.

Bacon & Brewfest partners Greene Beverage have recently acquired the rights to pull Bayou Teche Brewing Company's fine selection of craft beer out of the swamps of Southern Louisiana and distribute it in and around Tuscaloosa!

The two beers featured in the video are:

  • LA-31 Boucanèe - a cherry-wood smoked wheat beer. The brewers recommend pairing it with chicken and sausage gumbo, barbeque, sausage po-boys, grilled hamburgers and of course, boudin!
  • Passionné  - a wheat beer brewed with passion fruit juice. Made with wild passion fruit that grows on farm fences and in the tree lines all around Arnaudville.

Get your tickets to the 2015 Bacon & Brewfest now and try out Bayou Teche's beer for yourself!
