After running a half marathon this past weekend, I find this hard to believe - but science says otherwise! According to a group of researchers in England, Christmas shopping is as stressful as running a marathon! (Shopping has never made my entire body sore, made me cramp from head to toe, or limp around for 3 days - but maybe it has for some people! LOL)

Have you ever felt totally wiped out from Christmas shopping?  The researchers recently had people shop for an hour while they monitored their pulse, body temperature, and how much they were sweating. And the average person's heart rate increased 33% while they were shopping ... which is on par with what happens during a MARATHON.

They also found 88% of people experienced tachycardia when they found a gift they liked. That's where you have an abnormally rapid heart rate. And 60% of people in the study started feeling fatigued after just 32 minutes of shopping. I absolutely LOVE shopping and suggest going into it with a clear, open, and fun mind. There's no reason to really stress out about shopping when Christmas is TRULY about time spent with loved ones and celebration.
