Titans v Steelers Matchup Postponed

The Sunday night regular season matchup between the Titans and Steelers is being postponed according to Diana Russini of ESPN. Russini broke the news in a tweet today, citing multiple sources.

Reportedly, a move to Monday night is being considered so long as test results come back negative.

The Tennessee Titans (3-0, 1-0), following their win against Minnesota (0-3, 0-1), had three players and six staff members test positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday. In response the the positive tests,  the organization was forced to shut down all facilities until at least Saturday. The team placed three players on the COVID-19 reserve list Tuesday: DL Daquan Jones, LS Beau Brinkley and TE Tommy Hudson.  While being placed on the list does not necessarily indicate that the player has tested positive, it is notable, given the timing of when they were placed on the list.

The Titans released a statement Tuesday after the positive tests were reported saying, "Out of the abundance of caution, the organization has decided to work remotely today as we follow NFL protocols related to the COVID-19 virus. Several tests have come back positive and we are working through the process of confirming them. We will have more information tomorrow."

The Vikings, who most recently played the Titans, have reported zero new positive results following their latest round of testing.

In a statement released today, the NFL said, “​The Steelers-Titans game, originally scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. ET, will be rescheduled to allow additional time for further daily COVID-19 testing and to ensure the health and safety of players, coaches and game day personnel. Details on the new game date and time on either Monday or Tuesday will be announced as soon as possible.
