The Million Dollar Band Needs Our Help
Looks like it time for me to put the shako back on to help out my friends at the University of Alabama.
The Million Dollar Band will always be part of my life, and I try to keep up to date on what is happening with the band. And this is certainly something very exciting. This year, UA is going to the big apple, also known as New York! That's right, the MDB will be heading up there to participate in one of the greatest Thanksgiving traditions, the Macy's Day Thanksgiving Parade! This is the first time the MDB will ever be involved in the parade, so it certainly is a momentous occasion.
The one thing however that needs attention is the cost of the trip itself. Yes the University will be helping with most of the cost, but some of the cost will also have to be covered by members of the band. To help mitigate this, the university has launched a fundraiser to help out with the cost of the trip.
If you follow this link, you can see how much money has been raised for the organization. With a goal of $50,000, the money will help make sure every member of the band won't have to worry about missing the parade due to cost. If you wish to donate, you must be quick as the fundraiser doesn't last long.
You know there's no way I can let this opportunity for every member of the Million Dollar Band to march in one of, if not the, biggest parade of year. Let's help out!
