Confirmed cases of COVID-19 continue to rise in Tuscaloosa, and many are suggesting that making face masks mandatory could dramatically reduce the spread of the virus.

Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox continues his campaign tour across the state of Alabama as he looks to become the next governor, but he took some time out to join The Steve Shannon Morning Show on Tuesday.

@GovernorKayIvey says @WaltMaddox is “all over the map. He can't figure out where he stands on any of the important issues like Supreme Court, abortion or even gun rights. When he finishes debating himself, we can talk." I don't understand this logic, if Walt is debating himself, then expose his uncertainty and beat him head-to-head in a debate...

It's official: Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox is running for Governor.

Tuscaloosa Mayor Walter Maddox called in this morning to discuss city plans for the impending severe weather tonight and tomorrow.

According to a press release from the City of Tuscaloosa, Mayors from Birmingham, Huntsville, Mobile, Montgomery and Tuscaloosa will meet in Tuscaloosa next week in an effort to strengthen ties between Alabama’s five major cities and discuss common challenges and solutions.

When the news of the horrible incident in Newtown, Conn reached Tuscaloosa last Friday, Mayor Maddox and his staff began talks on what steps our city needed to take in the short term as well as steps that need to be made for the future.
