After a meeting held between Southeastern Conference presidents on Thursday, the SEC has voted to approve the additions of Oklahoma and Texas into the conference. The conference voted unanimously in favor of expanding the conference to 16 teams.

He wrote that the school is working closely with Texas Governor, Greg Abbott to follow the states medical recommendations amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
