Two of the year's top races in Tuscaloosa will be held on the same day in 2018 to create a special event that benefits local charities.

The third annual Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah 5K takes place this Saturday in Downtown Tuscaloosa with hopes of building on a successful first two years of the event.

When I was a kid, my brother and I watched what my parents watched. We didn't have a TV in every room to go watch something else. We didn't have a VCR in another room to pop in a movie and, when you grow up in a town with less than 500 people, going to the movies was a family event and a rarity...

As Tuscaloosa continues to grow, so do the road and running path improvements and so does the accompanying community of runners and walkers.

You typically see the T-Town Bud Girls in the local watering holes handing out Budweiser swag but now you may just see them running through the streets!

Local race organizers are preparing for the 7th Annual Nucor-Holy 5k (3.2 miles). The race will take place September 7th at Holt High School.
