In a move that even Alabama fans would admit is classy, Auburn honors the life of the late superfan Luke "Fluffopotamus" Ratliff on Tuesday night before the Iron Bowl tipped off.
The No. 14 Alabama Crimson Tide basketball team will open its 2021-22 season at home Tuesday night at Coleman Coliseum. The Tide will host Louisiana Tech at 8 p.m. and prior to the evening's contest the program will honor the superfan Luke Ratliff.
In his honor, fellow friend, Vinny Conway, is working on putting together a 3-on-3 basketball tournament to honor Luke’s memory. All of the entry fees will be going toward the Ratliff family as well as Arts n’ Autism.
The University of Alabama presented graduating seniors with class rings on Wednesday as the semester is drawing to a close. Alabama head basketball coach Nate Oats was a surprise guest at the event. According to Jim Zig Zeigler, State Auditor of Alabama, Oats was there to pick up the class ring of recently deceased senior superfan Cameron Luke "Fluffopotamus" Ratliff.
Alabama head football coach Nick Saban addressed the media on Wednesday evening at the conclusion of today's spring practice. At the conclusion of his press conference the seven-time national champion offered his thoughts on the passing of 23-year old, Alabama superfan, Cameron "Fluffopotamus" Luke Ratliff.
